What is the typical rate for a literary translation?
+The most common way to estimate the price for this type of translation is by the number of characters, including spaces, especially when the work exceeds a certain length. In the publishing sector, it is common to refer to “sections” of 2,100 characters with spaces. Sometimes, “sections” of 1,000 characters with spaces are used instead.
In any case, an agreement must be reached. This type of rate based on character count is not always applied. For example, when dealing with illustrated books, a fixed price is often proposed at the start of the project.
What kind of editorial texts do you translate?
+I translate novels, short stories, illustrated books, informative books, manuals on various subjects (those about DIY, fine arts, and arts and crafts are my favorites), essays, and even board games and their rules.

Can I be involved in the translation process if I’m the author of the work?
